Anyone started playing summer golf tees yet.
We have started playing off the summer tees on St. Patricks day (17 March) and will continue untill the end of September.

This winter has been the first time that we have had mats for the short holes only, obviously because of the divot taking on these holes. All the other grass tees have been in play throughout the winter.
We never have temporary greens.

We don't have any winter tees at our course, we use the same tees all year round, although the tee positions are moved around to cater for this.

One of the delights in playing golf at a real golf club, John.

My golf club has been on grass all year.
We are still using winter rules until the 1st April.

Yeah he played the BRAB today with myself and 2 Pauls. More likely to be watching Dancing on Ice final than hanging his head in shame. Greens running at 11.2 on meter. Like lightening. Good day out. An experience I definitely want to do again to see if I can better todays score now as I've been round it. 96 if anyones interested with several 3 putts and a couple of 4 putts. No temps or winters on that course today. Only have temporary tee's on par 3's at my home track, never temporary greens.

I'm not hiding Taffy. I did indeed play the Brab and can verify that Law 2 was not broken. I was rubbish. The only disappointment for me was that due to the way I played I didn't give myself a chance of seeing how well I could do on the course. I'd like to play it again just to see how I get on when I can actually send a ball in the right direction and in a straight line.
Anyway, shouldn't you be busy crying into your leek soup after blowing the six nations and finishing 4th?

Chris , I'm Irish today and they deserved it. I've always found it plays long and a good test , i suspect you were impressed with the condition? How'd you all fair on 10 and 18? and are you and Jo happy with the result? don't realy want you to answer the last one.Lol.

I played at the Manor in Leeds Friday and was impressed when the pro shop said play off yellow tees so I thought spring was definately in the air however all the yellow tees were mats, which I don't mind but the greens were crap, all sand and machinery holes. I'll put up with poor tees and fairways but bobbly greens?
