Why are the Koreans becoming so good?
While playing this morning the conversation got around to the Koreans winning on a regular basis now. The girls have taken the LPGA Tour by storm and the men have now won on the main PGA Tour.
One of the guys came up with an idea that I think could be a good topic for discussion on here. He thinks that they work on the Golf Swing like Dance moves and learn a routine. Girls are better dancers than men so they have more success with this idea.
What do you think, is it ROT or NOT?

I believe in a couple of years it will be a 1&2 in the world will have Asian blood as I have no doubt that the worlds no1 armature Danny Lee will climb to the top.He has already won a pro event this year the Jonny Walker Classic in Perth. Im not sure if has anything to do with dancing David but I do know they are totally inspired by their Asian peers.

Yes I can see how a golf swing can be likened to a dance movement: it relies on precision, rythym, balance however I wouldn't do a charleston with spikes on.

There are plenty of Korean girl golfers but not many men...the reason is that the men have to do national service in the army, so they miss the late teens as golfers.

all i can think of is that Golf has been dominated by western players for so long, and that when a country starts to produce good players (this is not a micky take in any way) with what are strange/different names, it will become more obvious. If Koreans had names like Paula, Kelly etc, would it be as noticable?
