Moving through the shot.

Posted by: user10367 | Thu 7th Dec 2006 15:21 | Last Reply

I seem to be having a re-occurring problem, there are times when I move through the shot (as you should do) but there are also times when I seem to stay on the back foot. Can anyone suggest a good practise routine to ensure I stop staying on the back foot, I generally hit through at about 70/75% I am aware it happens more when at the top of my swing those little red horns appear at the top of my head and the thought process goes like " Now I'll rip your cover off you !!!!!!",. but I rarely get them now as I've got into my senior mode.

not sure which pro coach does it but on the driving range he tells the golfer to actually take a step forward (right foot over left) after striking the ball. Sergio does it sometimes even on tour. I try to imaging knocking a nail thru the ball on impact. A) It gives you a smoother stroke and you dont"hit" at the ball B) It works for that geezer on Golf Channel with the big hat

Good luck
