Course Reviews - Adding in GPS availability

Posted by: user84974 | Tue 17th Feb 2009 15:46 | Last Reply

When we review courses and clubs that we have visited, I feel that now we are nearly a decade into the 21st Century, another vital piece of information to add to a review is the availability to the visitor of GPS information regarding the course.

As owners of Sky Caddie handsets are aware, there is now a massive database of courses that have been mapped professionally.  This list is by no means exhaustive.  There are still courses out there that are worth the look but do not have GPS coverage.

My own course is one of them unfortunately.  I would really like to see it mapped professionally, although I have mapped the greens myself.  This information is of course only available to myself as I cannot pass it on.

So if and when you carry out a course review, it would be useful if you included this information.
