albuferia golf
hi guys
Im going to the algarve on 28/2 staying at the balaia golf village that has a 9 hole course, i was hoping to play on a 18 hole course but seems that you need a handicap cert to play them.
Does any one know where i might get a round without a cert?

You will not need a handicap certificate anywhere. Money overides that need.

I would say the best course for you to play without too much traveling from Albufeira and less chance of any hassle over handicap would be, Salgados. Not the best by any means but easy to get on. Morgado just north of Portimao is also an excellent course and will be cheaper than the recognised good ones.

most of the courses i have looked at seem expensive, but i bet they are lovely courses and get what you pay for

They have always been overpriced, Paul and with the pound being on the floor it has become prohibitive. Only for the very wealthy I'm afraid and those who think that spending that kind of money on a green fee means quality.
Come the end of the season and you will find that the golf prices will have come down as they all fight to stay alive in a dwindling market.

Vila Sol is a beaut. Played it 7 years agio when I had never broken 100!! Was also paired with a 2 handicapper and had a great round.

I'm a Yorkshireman, I'll take two! I'll PM my passport number to you! Who does she fly for and do they do free alcohol?
