Hows your pre season training coming on

Posted by: user50354 | Tue 6th Jan 2009 12:29 | Last Reply

My pre season has started with a 1st ever golf lesson. The pro watch has I hit my 5 iron 150 yards straight as a die shot after shot and then told me there is not much wrong with my swing but, if we just do this and that and we should see better yardages.

Magic, so thats what we did and now my 5 iron goes roughly 30 yards and the triple divot goes about the same....

At least there is room for improvement and I know my pro is right and I have something to work on.

So how is your pre season going

LOL that sounds so familiar - when I was having video lessons I went through the same thing.

I've just gone to a new teacher now who is a playing professional with a decent record so hopefully he will take me that bit further, Had 1/2 lesson on chipping and pitching as I didnt have a clue what to do. What a help that was! Tought me some lob shot where you open the face right up to get it high up for short distances with control when it lands! should help getting over bunkers etc.

Gonna have putting and short iron lessons next.

Careful now, Stuart haven't you noticed that Waynes handicap is now lower than yours. He has been playing rather well lately.

My pre season training is delayed.I'm blowing my nose every 15mins an coughing every 10 so not a very good start. I do have the high score on the WII bowling though taken me a week to pass my 6 1/2 year old daughters high score of 215. How's the gym work coming on Rob are you starting to feel the benifits?

Join the club, Dave, I am the same at the moment. Picked up the Wishon book again for a second read, very interesting.

The gym is brill Dave,

3 nights per week 1 1/2 hour sessions 3 reps of 10 on all machines and also 5 reps of 10 on free weights.

Fat is turning to muscle, the auld tone up is showing through.

Really glad I did it.

By the new season I will be a lean mean divot machine..
