Boomerang Ball

Posted by: user81455 | Wed 10th Dec 2008 21:37 | Last Reply

Since settling on Srixon AD333s as my ball of choice I have only ever found one on the course.  When rummaging around in the rough for mine or a partners ball I've found loads of Titleists and Callaways but only one Srixon.

However the one I did find has strange properties.  Since starting to play with it I have been unable to lose it.  So far it has lasted 8 rounds and has visited 4 streams, one pond and two clumps of gorse but every time I 've managed to retrieve it.

Anyone else had a similar (spooky?) experience.

Dave K,

thought you might have something to say on the subject of Srixons. It is definitely not one of yours becuase it doesn't have a name on it.

Dave L, be careful what you wish for.

It has also cursed my other balls. During the 8 rounds I have played 4 shots with two other balls. On Sunday I used an orange ball on a very white and frosty hole. All went well as I played the first two shots. Middle of the fairway and easy to find an orange ball in the mass of whitened grass. Third shot pulled it a bit, hit a frozen bank to the side of the green and the ball shot into some trees under which there were loads of orange leaves and we couldn't find it.

Playing on my own today I hit the spooky ball into the gorse bush mentioned. I then played a provisional in case I couldn't find it. The shot was into the sun I didn't pick it up and that ball was lost too forcing me to hunt hard for the spooky ball in the gorse.

This reminds me of when paddy found a lamp whilst looking for his ball in the rough. He rubbed it and out popped a Genie .The Genie went blah, blah, blah you have 2 wishes so paddy thought and wished for a golf ball he could never loose or wear out.His wish was granted ,and  for 2nd wish ,Paddy pondered a while and said "can you make that a dozen"

Dave that reminds me of paddy when he won 20m on the lottery. The banks told him that he could have £10m the 1st month & the rest later in the year..........he said he didn't want to be messed around & asked for his pound back
