Two Gloves?
I went out for a few holes this afternoon and although the sun was shining the wind was really cold.
For the first time in years I actually put a winter mitt on my right hand!
I didn't need the other mitt for my left hand as my golf glove was keeping that hand warm enough.
Now I thought to myself, why bother with the mitt, just buy a right hand glove and wear two gloves during the winter months.
Can anybody think of any reasons why wearing two gloves would hinder my game?
Do you wear two gloves? I remember one of the contestants on Big Break used to wear two gloves, and he used a baseball grip.

I've got a pair of all weather gloves that I wear in cold and wet weather which are excellent. The only problem is that they are about to fall apart and I can't remember where I bought them and they have no logo on them other than the name weathershield so I don't know how to get another pair.

I actually wear 2 gloves all-year round.
I suffer from Dermatitus on my hands and found that the second glove helped to prevent the skin irritation and splitting. They also kept the Plasters on when the hands get really bad but I want to carry on with the golf.

Tried out my pair of wet weather gloves (Callaways) today at the Golfshake comp and must say I was pretty impressed. Conditions were testing to put it mildly, rain, sleet, hail etc. and they got absolutely soaked so my hands were cold, the clubs were wet but they gripped brilliantly. Thoroughly recommend them, although why we played on in those conditions was slightly questionable.

When I first started playing, golf gloves were considered a luxury, as they were made with the finest cabreta leather available and did not last very long. Because of the cost alone I decided that I would not get involved in the glove game and played all my amateur career without ever using one.
It is only since coming back to the game after my heart problems that I now wear one, but why, I don't know, as I can just as easily play without one.
As to the cold, this is another aspect that has passed me by and thinking about it, perhaps it was because I spent the first ten years of my working life roping and sheeting trucks in all kinds of terrible weather and I suppose I don't feel the cold on my hands, like some do.
Then again we see professional footballers wearing gloves these days, what a load of wimps.
This trend towards putting on more gloves in the winter is rather strange when one considers that over the years, winter weather has become much milder.

I can understand all the reasons you are stating, Rob, just that I never ever felt that I needed extra grip support when playing golf. I don't suffer with sweaty hands so that possibly helps.

I might try a second glove in the next few weeks, just to see if it helps while the weather is cold.
