it just clicked

I just had to tell someone..

Was down at the range this afternoon and it just clicked, all shots going straight with decent distance and a nice smooth swing. Even my driver was awsome, consitant long and straight, last ball and I decided to go for it and drove stright over the boundry fence 260+ yrds. Now i just have to do that on the course....

And with range balls, J P. I doubt he would knock it past you.

I need more than 1 shot to get that far...

Why would you want to hit it 260 yard + "over the boundry fence" when on the course..

Leaves yourself one hell of a pitch to green...

Not negative, Tony, just wary of posters who think we are all idiots. After all your scores are almost cricket like at the moment.

Tony, according to you initial post all shots going straight with decent distance  - your words, not mine. I

am also sceptical of these outrageous claims to distances, especially by players who as yet cannot play the game, no disrespect intended, but your current scores are not golf as I know it.

260 yds is a very long way and even if you are built like the proverbial ***house this kind of length is still not easily attainable.

Put me 260 yds down the fairway and I will play single figure handicap golf.

I've cleared a few boundary fences in my time. Some on actual courses, which as Robbie says, leaves a nasty chip. And for anyone who's seen my short game......

Tony, congratulations on having a good day on the range.

I was on the driving range once and I realised that I had hit the last 15 shots all within ten feet of the 150 marker post, and it was effortless!

One day it will happen on the course.
