golf handicaps

hi can anyone tell me if there is a book i could purchase on how to work out golf handicaps also id like to find out once the handicaps are worked out what holes you get strokes on ie ( handicap of 28 what strokes he would get and on what holes ) id like to know about other handicaps of 27 26 25 and right down to 1 along with strokes these handicaps would get and on what holes they would get them on (hope all this makes sense) any help will be most appreciated. antwill
