Posted by: user50354 | Fri 3rd Oct 2008 12:28 | Last Reply

Forget about all the clubs that never really made the team that travels in your bag but don't the 1st team costs mount up...?

Never considered myself as an over priced club buyer but just totted my team costs the other day and it goes:

Driver £120

5 Wood £25

Irons £100

3 wedges £150

Putter £45

grand total £440 ......

Don't it mount up

Hows that compared to yours.....

Did the same recently and scared the living daylights out of my self, then I checked on ebay how much I could get it all 2nd hand.  That was even more scary !!!

New : £1377

2nd Hand : £500

A word to the wise, DO NOT, add up the cost of balls, bag, glove, trolley, etc.  If Mrs L ever finds out she may find out that there is a reason that I maintain that I cannot afford a divorce

5 Wood - $119

Hybrid - $129

Irons - $629

Wedges - $109 x 2 = $218

In sterling, that's about £800 and that's frightening.  I hope the little lady doesn't read this!  If I had bought these in the UK, it would've been around £1,450!!!  I am living proof that you can't buy your game.

David,

I personally didn't spend £249 on a driver. My house & garage got flooded last July & I had all my gear replaced via insurance & I got it replaced at the Belfry so it was the only time that cost wasn't an issue.

Now for a driber I'd spend thousands!!!

Well for the record....

(all second Hand)

Driver: TM Burner £85

3 Wood: Adams Tight Lies £30

Rescues: TM rescues £35 each

Irons: TM 300 forged £120

Wedges: Vokey x2 £30 Feel PW £25

Putter: TM rossa Mezza: £40

Total: £430

However this doent take into accout the fact that i have 3 yes 3 sets of TM 300 irons (dont ask) and approx 4 drivers, 2putters, 3 other wedges and other random rescues and woods that never see the light of day, let alone the course.

I think i would start to add to ebay instead buying only!!!

oh how i love this game
