Handicaps for 9 holes ?
I currently play off 25, if I play a 9 hole course and only play the 9 holes rather then the course twice do I recieve 2 shots on the 7 hardest holes so I guess i get stroke index 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 if they are on the first 9 according to the scorecard or just 1, 2 and 3 if not ?

Why on earth do you want all these shots, don't you think it would be better taking half handicap for 9 holes only.

Sorry I worded the question badly what I meant was say you were playing a 9 hole course but the score card was for 18 holes (i.e you played it twice from different tees etc hecne it had stroke index 1 to 18)
If the front 9 holes (the only one i was playing) had stroke indexs such as this
130 310 10 16839 2 31448 11 36947 3 32446 12 33845 4 44854 13 51153 5 108318 14 128317 6 132316 15 170315 7 49052 16 51551 8 165314 17 175313 9 141312 18 165311 OUT 225233
As im off 25 I would get 2 shots at holes 3, 4 and 7 correct ?
I guess my question refered to odd and even handicaps and the fact you could gain or lose out to a opponient, this was for stableford really
