My old putter

Posted by: user119285 | Mon 22nd Sep 2008 13:26 | Last Reply

Hello,

I was round at my Mam's the other day and I found an old putter that I forgot I ever even owned , I bought it about 15 years ago on a car boot sale and apparently it the guy selling it had it for years before that.

Anyway it is a brass headed job with a steel shaft. The only markings on it are "Smooth Line Sutcliffe, made in UK" on the grip ,which I think is original , and GT 400 on the base. Question is, does any of you geniuses know who its a made by, and if I should bother ebaying it, or chucking it in the bin!

David,

Ive never heard of them as a manufacturer, however that's not a benchmark!

Worth Putting it on Ebay rather than the bin as there are a strage breed of people out there who collect putters (rather than collecting every available club like us sane golfers ) so you never know. Worse case sinaro you have spent a quid 2 find out its worthless!

Let us know how you get on.

Danny
