My Handicap Scares Me

Guys,
I have had a few lessons and these have started to pay off. Now due to 5 rounds in the mid to low 80's at Downshire I have been cut to 15.3.
To be hoest if you drive the ball straight at Downshire the course is not hard at all - but as a result my handicap is coming down and this scares me. the thought of playing to 15 week in week out makes my bum hole contract.
Does the Handicap take SSS into consideration?
Anyway its good to be out of the dolldrums of earlier in the year.
