Posted by: user95093 | Thu 17th Jul 2008 21:13 | Last Reply

Hi all,

Anyone know of a shop in the manchester area where I can get the shaft of my putter shortened?

Cheers

Chris

Simple enough to do it yourself, Chris.

Think about it, Chris, it really is that easy, although I fel that it is probably not necessary as one can always go down the shaft.

Would think any pro shop linked to golf clubs that do regrips will shorten it for you.

Just make sure they went to spec savers so they cut from the right end....

If it's an expensive/new/favourite putter, get a pro to do it.  If it's a cheap one you don't mind cocking up or you want an excuse to buy a new one, do it yourself.

I got mine done at a club pro shop - cost £6.50 for golf pride grip and he took 3" off for free..
