Which utility club??
Getting new clubs very soon and looking to include 2 or 3 utility clubs in there. Anybody got any thoughts on the below choices?? Sort of torn between these although the price difference could prove a major factor if you guys agree there's not much difference in performance:-
Mizuno CLK Fli Hi (looks like about £90 each)
Ben Sayers M8 (look like about £35-40 each)
So obviously a big difference in price, any advice peeps?? (Wayne, if you're reading this I notice you either still have or used to have one of the Ben Sayers M8 ones - would you still recommend?)
Can't wait to get my new weapons!!!

Hi Steven,
Yep, exactly my thoughts currently - I'm trying also not to get swayed by the fact I'm buying Mizuno irons, obviously it would be "nice" to have matching brand utilities but not probably necessary. Overall I'm probably going for Mizuno MP57 5-PW then 3 utilities and then my friend who's a local pro has got his hands on a good secondhand Callaway FT-3 driver and a Callaway Fusion 3W for me.
I know the MP57s may be geared at the slightly better player than myself but I am playing far more frequently now, have had 5 out of a course of 6 lessons and improving with it so am in the mindset that I want a set that will force me to continue striking the ball better and better.... I also just love the sleeker look of them more than the MX range....

Jim, have you had a look at the MD's? I've got a 21° and it's top quality, halfway between the price of the two. Big convert to these clubs, got a 3 wood and Norman Drew wedge.

Hi Tim - yes keeping my eyes on the MD's as well. I've also got one of their wedges and am very impressed with it - along with the never ending good reviews of their equipment - will take another look at their utility clubs before taking the plunge!
Thanks

Jim, there is no substitute for trying them. I have a couple of rescues from the cheaper end of the market and whilst they work well they did not feel good on impact.
I recently replaced them with Cobra Bafflers and the difference is amazing. The distance is maybe a little further but not noticably so, however, the feel is so much better. On impact the ball seems to spring off the face with a crisp noise and the feeling through the club has none of the clunking/heavy feel of the cheaper clubs.

Have to agree with James, look no further than Cobra Bafflers. I've tried many of the top priced ones but none compare with the Baffler DWS.

Heard good things of the m8 and md eql and are good prices. Both rated very well in reviews and out performed some of the big boys.

Thanks for all your input chaps, I tried both clubs out recently and to be fair they both felt really nice and I hit the ball well with both (this was only into a net though).
Was seriously tempted by the Ben Sayers due to the price but then that lethal golfing brand name devil jumped down off my shoulder, ripped my wallet out my pocket and ordered up 2 Mizuno's!! All the while it was screaming "Must match the Mizuno irons you're buying!!!"
So now eagerly awaiting my Mizuno MP57's 5-PW, a Mizuno MP Fli Hi #4 and a Mizuno CLK Fli Hi #3 (to go with the Callaway FT3 driver and Callaway Fusion 3W that my pro mate has got me)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, sooooooooooo excited!!!!! (And also going to be extremely skint - only over the budget my wife knows about by about £300 )
