3 club challenge

Its our clubs 3 club challenge next week and wondering if anyone else has played i one of there. I dont know the rules were playing weather its any 3 clubs or if its got to be any 2 clubs and a putter.
Im not sure what clubs to take people i have talked to here are taking a driver 7 iron and putter. but im thinking if its any 3 clubs i could take a 56 wedge that i could putt with as well, 6 iron and maybe 3 iron/rescue club.
if it s any 2 clubs i think drop the 3 iron.

Never played one but i think id take a 5 wood 8 iron and 56 wedge. id put with the iron, couldnt b any worse than with my putter

id go hybrid, 7 iron and putter

I reckon he might have taken three 7 iron's, 1 for the tee shot, 1 for the fairway and 1 to put with
