Open Competitions
How many of you enter the above whether locally or distance travel, and if so is it for the challenge, the chance of winning or just the experience of playing off the whites under pressure????

Me and Tony are planning to do some opens this year..
More a case of playing good courses on the cheap..
If we win anything - that's a bonus..

Open comptetition is a fantastic way to get to play the better courses for a fraction of the price.
In my younger days that is all I used to do, every weekend I would play in 36 hole scratch events, locally, throughout the West region and when I had the time in the more prestigious events further afield.
Go for it I say.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you get involved in Open days? Is it just a case of phoning a club and asking to take part? Also what about the handicap side of things, as I don’t have an “official” handicap only the one that I’ve got from this site.
Cheers

An excellent site, Wayne, thanks for sharing it with us. I am sure that I will taking advantage of some very good senior events.
