Impact tape - hitting below the sweet stop of the club

Posted by: user85262 | Tue 15th Apr 2008 16:28 | Last Reply

Hi

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas what may be possible  causes for  a fairly consistant hit off the bottom of the club face with irons  - I put some impact tape on the club face and most contacts were in the bottom middle of the club face, i.e  below the sweetspot - sort of halfway between the sweetspot and the bottom of the club.

This was both from off a tee & off the mat at the range.

Any ideas anyone would be appreciated

thanks

John

Could be that your clubs aren't set up properly for you. Might be worth getting custom fitted.
