What kind of swinger are you?

I am not on about putting your keys in a bowl...

There are two schools of thought out there - one says the arms drive the swing and the body moves as a reaction to that, others say the big muscles should control the swing and the arms remain passive.

Wondering who out there is an arm swinger and who is a body swinger.

Not a clue, I have enough trouble hitting the bloody thing!  I'll ask John Flood tomorrow

Body here, with a touch of arms at the end.

Myself I am a leverage player, long arms, lot's of leverage so arm swing turns the body for me.  

shoulder turn and hinge for me with a thought of extending the arms on the back swing as if to shake hands with someone then hinge.

A swing is something I have not had for over ten years now and I still have not come up with a decent alternative. I am not strong enough to hit it hard, so I have run out of ideas.

No defeatism, Philip, just being realistic. The brain thinks it can still do it but the body will not do as it is told. I get away with the short swing with the irons, but the woods have really got me beat at the moment. I stand on every tee trying something new, searching all the time and as you know that is no way to build confidence.

Perhaps I could ask you to take a look on Sunday, as I see you will be at Belton Woods.
