What kind of scorer are you

Posted by: user50354 | Thu 3rd Apr 2008 13:31 | Last Reply

What kind of scorer are you......

For me, I just record the score on each hole and don't want to know how I am doing until back at the car for a count up.

So, what do you do..

NWOT........

i always wait till i complete the full 18, then i total my score while enjoying a cold one in the 19th...... (and yes i usually need a drink when i total the score!)

My regular 3 ball add after 9 to see who's winning.  The running order is usually reversed after 18 with me coming from a few shots down!  I personally find that if I think I'm out of it I relax and stop trying and then play better.

I will never ever add up my score until the round is over, I keep a record of fairways, greens and putts and count those after 9 but never the score, I usually know roughly how i am doing anyway.

I like to tot up after each 9 i also record putts, fairways and greens in reg as i go, greens in reg are few and far between usually only the odd par 3. i also record bunkers which  are  far more numorous and like matt i look at each hole seperately, if i have 2 strokes i play to that and sometimes it works.

Normally I do not add up any of my scores until after the round.  Today I made the fatal mistake because I knew my front 9 was out of this world.  Shot an all time best 9 of 41 today at Trent Park including a birdie chip on the no. 1 HC hole no. 4 then proceeded to miss everything on the back nine and shot a miserable 53!

Indeed, James those par three courses can be quite difficult sometimes.
