soft spikes

Posted by: user25268 | Fri 14th Mar 2008 10:37 | Last Reply

Just been reading about Australian golfer Tony Carolan sacking his caddie after four holes of the inaugural Ballintines championship. the reason was that he [the caddie ] was jiggling clubs whilst he was putting,   fair enough, but the other reason was that the caddie was wearing soft spikes and so was'nt allowed on the greens, yet i thought that soft spikes are now almost compullsary at most clubs.
