Algarve 2009
Just to give everyone a heads up on this event, I will be running another next year and it will be either February/March, won't know prices til around May time and that's for Hotel, Minibus's/Car's and 6 rounds on 3 courses, flights are extra and you can get some cheap deals from the low cost operator's, and it will be limited to 32.
Which if everyone who mentioned they want to go will no doubt fill up fairly quickly.
Any information you want re the courses etc, you can ask the following who will give their honest opinion.
David Marshall, Paul Milward, Lorna Nichols, Ron Devereux, Paul Mason etc.

I'd like to go Wayne, but I won't know if I'm allowed for a couple of months. Will you also be releasing costs for non-golfers?

Good to see that there is already interest in this! Wayne has obviously put the feelers out, is that the kind of itinerary that everyone is after? i.e. how many nights stay would you want? number of rounds?are there any specific courses that people would want to play? Hotel star rating? location? Dates?
so many questions!!!

I too would be interested in going to the Algarve next year. Been on holiday but never played golf out there.
See you at the North v South in a few weeks.

I would like a two week break with the six rounds played on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week, leaving the week-ends free.
I am quite sure my wife would not object to this as it gives her plenty of time for me to do the normal tourist bit as well.
Six days golf in a row is something I cannot manage any more I'm afraid, even two days is proving to be a problem as Donnington showed.

David, if it is one week and six days golf I cannot manage that.

Interestingly I asked my wife if she'd like to go as a non-player and she muttered something about rather having her wisdom teeth pulled without anaesthetic...

Tim, inform your wife that she could do both! She could have the neccesary dentistry whilst, you are going round one of the courses.....make sure you stand well back when you suggest this though!

Don't think I will go with your suggestion Luke, unless I want to find out about that particular aspect of dentistry.
