Playing a doubles comp with out a parnter

Playing the comp on saturday and my buddy is of to the football so are the other 2 i normally play with,

any tips i should know before taking 2 people on by myself

 Too easy for the one liners !!! 

I think just go for it, you can always say you were playing against 2 so had a disadvantage if you lose - then on the other hand if you beat em bragg to your mate (if you find him again lol) !!
