Edit Course Info

Posted by: user30500 | Sun 4th Jun 2006 11:59 | Last Reply

Hi,

I noticed that one of the courses I have played has multiple entries (sometimes for the same Tee position). Is there anyway to edit this myself, or is it admin only?

The course is question is Test Valley, Hampshire Test Valley Yellow 72 6165 69
Test Valley Yello 72 6053 69
Test Valley Golf Club 72 72 5558 71
Test Valley Golf Club 1307 72 5558 71

As you can see there are two Yellows (albeit with different yardages, my card says that 6053 is correct), The other two both appear to be for the Red tee.

Also Royal Winchester has a similar problem with two white tees listed.

It appears to be a common problem across most course info. Is there any plans to update this?

Thanks Brian

Same problem for Richmond Park in Greater London - from memory, 17 different options when there should only be 8!

I'm welcome to suggestions.

Like you've mentioned it is people being lazy and just adding a new course, even though the screen does advise to search first.

Also the 'add course' will search and advise if any courses match or exist in the system. The problem with this is that it is quite a simple process currently so Richmond and Richmond Park do not get matched.

Sorry David, will get Richmond sorted I do still have the cards that you sent.

Regards,

Darren.
