tempo 1-2 or 1-2-3

Posted by: user16742 | Sat 23rd Feb 2008 17:37 | Last Reply

This has been puzzeling me this afternoon.

I been told that i decelerate when i do my short game and putting, i know that the followthrough shold be the same lenght as the backswing. but tempo wise what should happen.

Should it be count to 1 to back of backswing and then 2 to the end of the follow through, thus making the forward momentum twice as fast as the backswing.

Or should it be 1 to the back of the backswing 2 to inpacting the ball then 3 to end of follow through?

Sounds, by what you say that you are just quitting on the shot.

Just remember that every time the ball is hit, be it a drive or a 1 foot putt that it must be struck with an accelerating clubhead.

Personally I find this game difficult enough without resorting to counting during my swing.
