Never had a broomhandle or belly putter. They should never have been allowed in the first instance. The golf lawmakers bowed down to the club manufacturers power in not stopping these monstrosities at birth. Just my opinion however, Michael.

Not sure how they bowed to anybody ... the manufacturers didn't great anything that was illegal, and they haven't been banned either.

I didn't say they have been banned. I just said they should never have been accepted by the game's rule makers in the first instance. I seem to remember that some manufacturers were threatening legal action against the rule makers if a ban was imposed on their new products. I'll do some research and get back.
