The World's Highest & Lowest Golf Courses

Posted by: user625256 | Wed 11th Mar 2015 10:35 | Last Reply

La Paz Golf Club, Bolivia, South America: It's not often a golfer will have the chance to literally play golf in the clouds! With a dizzying height of 11,000 feet (3,400m) La Paz is the highest Golf Course in the world.

Furnace Creek Golf Course, Death Valley, California, USA Situated 120 miles north-west of Las Vegas, this 6,236 yard (5,700m) par 70 course is the world's lowest elevation golf course at 215 feet (66m) below sea level. The lush green fairways and greens are not what you would expect on a golf course where temperatures can reach up to 50° C! Playing in such extreme conditions are not very appealing and the handful of golfers who are mad enough usually tee-off early morning.
