i play off 23 (more like 33 some days ) is that mid or hi

I would say 'high' but to be honest it's totally subjective and there is no set rule to try and label you with.

and that's the beauty of the handicap system - you can play against any other golfer with a higher or lower handicap.

id say its 'high' in the traditional sense but since being in my club for nearly 3 years ive learnt that anyone who turns up and says 24 really means "ill use every shot I can be given", 23, youd be welcome in my group because you actually play to a standard rather than a default number which happens to be the cap. few good rounds and it can tumble. learn to play bogey golf, youll see huge benefits
