Done it - Now for some Bailey's

After spending the last few months prodding and poking and threatening that 90 barrier today in rain and winds I managed to par the 1st three holes which set me up for the golfing ride of my life...

Not wanting to play "protective score golf " I set about playing steady golf which kept the score card par/bogey for the majority of the round. Even 3 off the tee on the 18th didn't threaten the card too much.

After wandering to the car park we totalled our scores and for me it was 42 out and 45 back for 87...

Now for some Baileys..........

Excellent, Robbie, you will now find that you will do this far more often.

I too have finally broken 90 today around my club course at Frome. I shot an 88, 43 out & 45 back. I have been struggling with the back 9 but finally managed to put two halves of a round together. It's been 18 months since I previously broke 90 and i'm CHUFFED TO BITS!

Well you've been knocking on the door for a little while now Rob, well done mate, obviously the society will be hearing of it and the 40 pionts you scored too, happy day's....

I need to break 90 more often, should really be breaking 80, the time I've been playing.

Maybe I need to reward myself with some baileys. How many pints are we talking Rob? 

At last you are realising that you do have the game to break 80, Danny. Learn to curb your natural power and the accuracy will improve tremendously. The game is all about accuracy.

Use this winter to put into practice more controlled shotmaking and by the summer we will see the real Danny.

Certainly is a nice feeling John. Another milestone under the belt..
