Hand Warmers

Posted by: user609197 | Sun 5th Oct 2014 11:24 | Last Reply

Hi all, I'm looking into buying a set of hand warmers but am still undecided which to buy. Searching around i think the electric type may be best but are they warm enough for 4 hours out on a golf course? Has anyone used these or any other type which you would recommend. Many thanks for taking time out to reply.

Zippo handwarmer for me, easy to use, lasts over the whole round too.

Just beware of cheap fakes !

I have a zippo but I found it difficult to refill and a nightmare to light. It kept going out halfway through the round.

I now buy those disposable hand warmers in bulk from Costco. 40 sets for about £12. They last a whole round and you can keep in your pockets or your mittens.

I have just ordered the new zippo from amazon. The primary reason is I have a problem with a tendon in my left hand preventing me from closing my hand properly and yesterday my physiotherapist suggested I get a heat Pack that will help when gripping a golf club, I have already had jumbo grips fitted which helps but it’s still a little sore after hitting a shot. And with winter approaching I’m hoping the zippo will serve two purposes, hitting a golf ball and keeping my hand flexible.
