Irish Golf
I have just come back from a 2 weeks golfing trip to Ireland and what a fantastic trip! Being able to go over by ferry makes it a perfect destination as you can just load up your car with everything you may possibly need and aren't limited by weight.
We played 8 different courses and there were 2 fantastic ones (Lahinch and Tralee) and 2 other very very good ones (Ballybunnion and Dooks). Only one course was a disappointment (Doonbeg) partly because their course is getting beaten up by nature but partly because Trump has tried to 'improve' the course by copying other courses e.g. putting a bunker in the middle of one of the greens.
In total we played Cork, Killarney (Killeen), Dooks, Lahinch Old Course, Lahinch Castle, Doonbeg, Ballybunnion and Tralee. Fab time and Tralee is very close to being my favourite ever course but it still pipped by Cypress Point.

Glad you had a great time Judy. Ireland is a great country and fantastic place to play golf. I haven't played any of the courses you mentioned but I have been to Counties Cork,Kerry and Clare. I've only played golf in County Tipperary at Ballykisteen,Tipperary and County Tipperary golf clubs, all great courses at very cheap prices 15-20 Euros a time.
