The handicap we provide is widely recognised by courses around the world as proof of your playing ability where handicaps restrictions are in place such as the Old Course etc

If you need an 'official' handicap for 'official open golf' competitions, which are by design for visiting club golfers, you can only obtain an 'official' handicap by being a member of a golf club that is affiliated to the national union.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

The majority of competitions in Northern Ireland, open days etc. stipulate that you need a GUI card to participate.

As Eddie's mentioned if you need a GUI card then this can only be obtained from being a member of a club playing in official competitions.
