North Vs South (Southern team)

Posted by: user8 [FORUM MODERATOR] | Mon 10th Dec 2007 11:27 | Last Reply

Hi.

Obviously the North have the honours after the 2007 North vs South event.

Are the southern competitors happy with the venue being near Grantham in Lincolnshire ? I am looking to offer an overnight stay option for those fancying a warm up round the day before   It's fairly close to the A1 and 40 minutes off the M1.

To quote the following forum post :

'Due to costings, availability and venue choices I'm potentially looking at Devere Belton Woods in Lincolnshire near Grantham around April'ish.'

I thought the Ryder cup changed venues every other year regardless. Just a thought.

Editor's note   The overnight option will be at the venue

Danny good point, we can do this from 2009 and come down south regardless of the fact that the North will win the 2008 event ?

Home is where the heart is Stu.  I was born and brought up a Yorkshireman and live in Solihull.  I'm definitley a Northerner.  Question is, do you consider yourself to be a Scot?  If you do, you play for the North.

I look at it like this.  Faldo, Sergio Garcia, Monty, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood all played on the US tour, but still play(ed) in the European Ryder Cup team.  Even football players play for the country of their birth (unless their granny was Irish!).

Do you like to win? if the answer is yes then you're clearly a southerner

Sell out!!!  You're feeding the stereotype of Scots.
