52* wedge
Hi I'm looking for a 52 degree wedge which I didn't think id been missing but of late I really need something inbetween my sand and pitching wedge, just wondering if there's any recommendations or what other golfers playing with?

I would suggest getting down to your local pro shop and giving the clubs a try.
Buy the one you feel comfortable with.

Taylormade ATV wedges. Great clubs.

I agree with Russ. and Jason. A 'good' wedge cannot be sourced vis a vis finding the best brand.
I had a full set of Vokey milled wedges which cost me a lot of money at the time. Apart from the sand wedge I could do little with them - yet by all accounts brilliant equipment.
Their bounce angles were miles out from what I needed, and bounce angles are vital. I could find no-one whom I trusted to grind them.
I now use Cleveland 588 RTX in black. That co. offer 46 - 64 degrees in two degree increments with three bounce angles for any choice. Whether such can be easily sourced is another matter!
The vital thing when testing wedges is to HIT OFF GRASS. Testing wedges off hard mats is a futile exercise.

Another vote for 'try em out' first. I inherited vokeys form my husband and despite them not being chosen by me and a lot heavier than my other irons I just happen to get on really well with them, so much so I have expanded to a 60 degree on top of the 52 and 58. I love my vokeys and wouldn't change but as you can see from the previous post different folks prefer different clubs.

I also play SM5 vokeys and i would be surprised with 20+ grind/bounce options if you couldn't find one that suited, but then i also played TM wedges for years before that and my two regular golfing companions both play the Clevelands so it really is a matter of preference,

I have a used a Taylor Made 52 deg gap wedge in a gun metal finish with only 8 degrees of loft for over 5 years now. I use it more often than my driver on most rounds for a range of shots from a full 90-100 yards approach to the green, to a 40 - 50 yard pitch and to a delicate chip from the green fringe or other thin lie. If you can get something similar in today's wedge ranges I'd highly recommend it.

I would start by finding out what loft your PW is. Most clubs now PW is around 45 degrees, so a 52 may not fill the gap, you may need a 50 degree.
Most people like a 4degree gap so traditionally a 48* PW, 52* GW and a 56SW and if enough spoace a 60. Nowerday it should be more like 45/46* PW, 50*, 54* and a 58*. This is why few sets ever come with a 4 or 3 as they would actually be 2 or 3 irons with modern lofts.
