Golfshake official handicap
Hi there,
I apologise if this has been posted before, I have looked around on the website and cannot find the information. Is the membership and handicap card/certificate related for a premium membership and officially recognised handicap that can be taken to courses and used?
Many thanks. Lewis

Hi Lewis
Premium service - Yes. When you sign up for the premium service you will get sent a handicap card and well as some advance stat card to track if you wish.
The handicap card itself is not officially recognised to be able to enter competitions ect. However MOST courses will accept it as a recognised handicap however, its always best to come on here/check with the course if you are playing somewhere new.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Matt !
Matt's correct, you can only get what is deemed an 'official' handicap from a club that is affiliated to the national unions and then by taking part in official club competitions.
The handicap we provide is widely recognised by courses around the world as proof of your playing ability where handicaps restrictions are in place such as the Old Course etc
Regards, Darren.

Thanks to both for the reply. The society group I play in will only take an official handicap score so was hoping it would be ok to supply one from here. As I am not a club member anywhere I am cannot play at my current handicap score, I can only play off 18 which is lower than my current ability. (Unfortunately)
Much appreciated. Lewis
