Gap Testing

Posted by: user124316 | Fri 25th Apr 2014 11:15 | Last Reply

Hi, I am wanting to carry out some Gap Testing and am wondering if anybody else has either carried this out or is thinking of carrying it out. Also can anybody recommend a place that is able to help with this (Have some kind of Trackman System) in the East Sussex.

Any thoughts welcome.

The only way I have ever done this is to get on the practice ground. Hit ten balls with one club and measure to the middle of the grouping (ignore any bad shots). The repeat with another club, and so on.

If you have access to trackman, then that can do the same thing much faster. I think one of my local driving ranges does this. Costs £40 for one hour.

Not very close to you but I can recommend Lee Porter at Hylands Hold Complex in Essex.

The only numbers that are important are 'carry distances'. Then calculate from them.
