Banned clubs

Posted by: user130832 | Fri 28th Mar 2014 15:03 | Last Reply

I was recently told that my vokes 60 degree and my vokes sand wedge are now illegal.

Can anyone throw some light on this one and perhaps we could have a link on the sitew to access a list of banned clubs.

Unless you are classed as an elite amateur then you don't need to care about the grooves rule until 2024.

I heard that the old grooves would be illegal to buy new from last year and illegal to use as a Pro (and elite amateur comps). I wasn't aware that after 2024 the grooves would be completely banned but I would imagine I would have worn out my grooves by then and have some new wedges!
