Lessons in Hertfordshire

Posted by: user553688 | Thu 5th Sep 2013 12:08 | Last Reply

Hi,

I've just moved to Knebworth and I'm looking to take some golf lessons. Can anyone recommend a good teacher in the area?

Many thanks

Chris, for one quite close, to you, the Stevenage Golf centre in Aston, Kevin there used to be one of the Pros at Bishop's Stortford GC and always had a good reputation, though he never taught me. I did have a lesson with Andy at Stockwood Park in Luton recently and found him very good.

Hi Chris,

Ive had a few lessons at Chesfield downs at Gravely just off the A1 near stevenage, nice place as has a lovely chipping n putting green too which i just turn up and use most summers. Driving range is nice and the guy who i had a lesson with was really good, cant remember his name though.

I used to use Aston golf club alot too but got annoyed with groups of young lads using the driving range as somekind of socialising place which is rather annoying when your trying to concentrate and all you can hear is kids bragging about how many beers they drank at the weekend. I mentioned to the pro a few times but nothing was ever done, so not been back and having moved from Stevenage to Stotfold now i prob wont be back.

Have you tried Knebworth golf club too? Never been there but i reckon that would be worth a look seeing as right on your doorstep.
