Breakfast near Old Thorns / Hurtmore

I'm off on our annual golf weekend in a couple of weeks. This year we are going to Old Thorns with a warm-up round probably at Hurtmore GC.
So, my annual appeal to anyone out there who knows the local area...
Where can I get a "proper" greasy-spoon breakfast? Will need to be early, about 6:00 - 6:30...
