Golf Society in North East Wales looking for players

Posted by: user544928 | Tue 30th Jul 2013 17:31 | Last Reply

"The Llay Golf Society has been running since 2007 and in that time we have played at many courses throughout Wales, North West England and the Midlands.

During the past year we have played at Abergele, Denbigh, Northop, Hill Valley (Whitchurch), Chester and Carden Park. More recently we have visited both Heyrose and Pryors Hayes in Cheshire, Arscott near Shrewsbury and Wirral Ladies Golf Club.

Later in the year, venues such as Portal, Hawkstone Park, Denbigh are already booked in.

All society days take place on Sundays throughout the year and form part of a competition, with results going forward to an annual order of merit.

Anyone interested in coming along to future Llay Golf Society days are more than welcome. Players of all abilities and ages are welcome. Our youngest member is 19 and our oldest is 65 and Handicaps range from 3 to 28.

Tournaments are played off handicap marks and all competitions are Stableford ensuring that there are a variety of winners throughout the year.

For more details about the Society and its future golfing dates, please contact Jonny Bryan at [email protected]

Nice post. Hopefully you'll get some players sign up plus I know a few societies on Golfshake that i bet would be up for an intersociety challenge.
