Handicap on Golfshake.com

Hi, Does the handicap calculation on this website only update if you play off the White tees at a course or does it still update if you add a round on the yellow tees?

Thanks Linden. Yes this is correct we track your golf handicapoff every and any score you enter regardless of tee etc

Obviously this differs from a golf club, golf clubs will only track rounds at your home club in competitions using CSS.

For info we base handicaps off the SSS although this can be overwritten.

Hi Herb, generally the clubs will stipulate handicap levels to ensure a certain level for their course based on the difficultly etc So therefore the Golfshake/Golfscoretracker handicap card or printed certificate/playing history will suffice as proof of playing ability.

If however you were playing in a Open club competition then you may struggle as by design these are for visiting club golfers so will stipulate an official golf club handicap.

I'd always recommend dropping them a quick email if you are unsure. Below is a link to an article, not up to date, listing some of the well known courses that will accept our handicap such as Wentworth, St Andrews, Belfry, La Manga, Carnousite etc plus a few that still don't
