Wessex Amatuer Golf Tour

Posted by: user23669 | Sun 28th Apr 2013 19:31 | Last Reply

Recently I entered a round of the above tour & I was very impressed with the way the event was run. Ok I admit that I might be a little biased in this due to the fact that I won the first round that was held at South Winchester Golf Club on the 24th April.

The basis of this is a friendly game which has the added spice of a nice prize for the winner & runner ups. If you are interested in joining the group you have to have an active CONGU handicap and belong to a recognised club as the Wessex Amateur Golf Tour is only the first regional tour to become Official CONGU recognised.

If you want more information go to Wessex Amatuer Tour website link

Dave will be more than happy to give you any further information. Listed below are dates of the future events and venues most Tee times start at 11:00. The average cost works out at 35 for 18 holes of golf and sometimes a bacon roll & coffee when you arrive.

The next rounds take place

Rd 2 The Players golf club (Somerset) 14th May

Rd 3 Dudsbury Golf Club (Dorset) 26th June

Rd 4 Bowood GC (Wiltshire) 22nd July

Rd 5 Exeter G&CC (Devon) 15th August

Rd 6 Wokefield Park (Berkshire) 19th September
