Help! New to golf. New to Essex

I am retiring to Essex next week after working in Saudi Arabia for over 20 years. I started playing in November with a course of 15 lessons and I've managed to play several times a week since then. I have had a lot of fun with a great group of players but i have not established a handicap yet.

My question is, how do I find a course or group to match my ability to play with in Essex (CM13)?

David congrats on the retirement, if you select the uk course guide Darren has set up on here, go to the advance search guide and type in CM13, this will enable you to select courses/clubs within a certain radius of your postcode, with regards to groups to join it may pay you just to have a chat when you call into the club houses on a trial run of the courses you select, they may be able to help you there, its also worth looking at the groups on here, you may also find a couple of social groups for that area, happy hunting.

Very very very jealous. Have probably another 15 years to go before retirement, unless someone fancies buying my fabulous business for millions right now.......
