Squire headed drivers
Been playing golf a couple of months and it has been suggested to me that I give a squire headed driver a go to make my drive straighter! and maybe try a stiff shaft! Any opinions on this and if so what clubs seem to be the best? Regards

I suggest that a couple of lessons will straighten your drive better then a square driver, as well as being cheaper.
It may be that your club(s) don't suit your swing (the pro giving you your lesson will tell you if this is the case) but you should avoid using things like draw clubs as these will only mask the problem rather than solve it. This will also make it much harder for you to correct the problem later when it is completely ingrained into you game.

HOWEVER - I've just invested in a new driver and during my testing have found out that the cause of my slice on all my woods was shafts that were soft and I thought they were regular.
BUT - I wouldn't have found that out unless I had spoken to a pro and took his advice whilst trying out clubs when I thought I needed stiff shafts.
Pro's are a great source of knowledge and your slice could be something as simple as your grip. Most pro's are in it for the love of the game and enjoy helping beginners. Time spent with them will help in all areas and just one lesson can have a massive positive impact on your game. You already have the same handicap as me so I will be coming to you for advice soon!!!

Well i hit my Hippo Hex2 better than the callaway ft-i it according to the flightscope i tried them on. It only cost me £60 and i hit straighter than any other driver i have ever owned. Granted the block is still there every now and again! every little thing helps!
