Hi Darren - I live in Nottingham city centre. Only been here a few weeks, have played Wollaton Park and Sherwood Forest so far and enjoyed both.

You've started with some of the better courses then!

If you are City Centre based the there are loads of courses North of the city ie Sherwood Forest but closer by including Oakmere, Rufford, Ramsdale, SpringWater plus an excellent top 100 in Holinwell.

If you've tried Wollaton Park I would also recommend giving Beeston Fields a try.

Finally 10 mins East of your location there is the Nottinghamshire which as got 2 courses, recently spent a lot of money on the clubhouse so could be a good place to consider if you want some variety as well in your membership.

Sherwood Forest was excellent but out of my price range as an option for regular play / membership!

Wollaton Park I thought was in brilliant condition for the time of year, very firm fairways and greens. And I have played Ramsdale on a weekend break a couple of years ago - great back nine.
