Winter league

Posted by: user16742 | Thu 11th Oct 2007 09:11 | Last Reply

Just been silly and put my name down for the winter league, which means i have to play every saturday if the course is open. so will end up playing in rain sleat and snow.

Looking for some reccomendations on clothing. dunno really what i ll need, want something that will keep me warm, dry, and windproof.

Will a suite do this or will i need like a combination of things?

The last time i played in rain i used my old fishing trousers that kept the rain out but made me sweat so much that i was as wet as if i handnt had any on.

Dont want to spend silly amounts of money on them.

TIA

I've got a set of FootJoy DryJoys, jacket and trousers.  Feel as thin as paper, roll up to easily fit into my bag but are warm, windproof and waterproof.  The jacket is especially good, can't wear anything but a tee shirt underneath because it gets too hot!  Not cheap, but well worth it.

Have also worn them down the stables when my daughter's riding, justy chuck them in the washing machine and they're as good as new.

Mine are called "Sunny Mountain".....(pressie off wife).

Like wise I need only a tee shirt under the jacket.

You could check out the gear used by the other Rabbit members Matt because it can get pretty chilly up at winter Crook.

Good to hear you were out with my buddies Austin and Chris Curry. You can certainly learn a lot from Chris.
