Shorter Clubs

Posted by: user64949 | Wed 10th Oct 2007 09:43 | Last Reply

Being "vertically challenged" ie 5' 5" would you recommend I bought 1" shorter clubs or normal length? I used a set in Portugal recently which I assume were normal and managed to get around a 9 hole ... albeit my first round and straight after a lesson.

I'm new to this game and going to a golf shop I just know they will try and convince me to spend a lot of money ...

Gary, there are many people of your height and I would think that they all play with standard length clubs.

You basically have two choices, either you go down the shaft a little or you get the clubs checked regarding the lie of the club as I feel with your height, you will probably need 2 degrees flat.
