Hahahahaha. Quite right too, time to ban Americans from golf tournaments I think...

I heard it shouted while watching last night but missed G Macs reaction lol. Fairplay to him, i think its ridiculous what they shout out.

It's about as ridiculous as GMac's fake american drawl. I'm a huge fan of the guy, but what is going on with that accent? LOL. I must admit, I laughed out loud at the open this year when a bloke stood near me shouted "geddin th'ole" on a putt.

As an aside, I also would be in favour if a player wanted to gee up the crowd prior to tee off, a la Watson/Poulter in the Ryder cup.

Sorry Chris, I have to disagree. For me it's the start of a slippery slope towards bad behaviour from player and observers.

Sorry Michael, I should have specified - I wouldn't mind if they did that IN the ryder cup every time. Whilst the odd shout you hear can be amusing, I agree it's not in the spirit of the game.

First time seeing the clip, brilliant! Get in the Hole and Mashed Potato shouts are ridiculous!

The only way they will be stamped out is if the 'normal' golfing spectators all turn round, point there figure at them & shout "KNOB"!!
