Celtic manor

Posted by: user112727 | Mon 12th Nov 2012 17:31 | Last Reply

Hi, I'm playing the 2010 and roman road courses this weekend, is it advisable to hire buggies?

Anyone played? Thoughts?

Richard, During bad / wet weather conditions you have to stick to the paths with buggies. With their really wide fairways you end up carrying 3 or 4 clubs to your ball each time if your on the other side!! If you've got a trolley or can carry your bag I would recommend it that instead. John.

Most of all Richard, enjoy it! I played there in 2011 and it was breathtaking, all the courses were in superb nick. Do they use the summer greens all year round?

Yes, they use summer greens all year round & they drain very good so there still fast & slick when I play there in Jan!! Not played the 2010 but the Roman Road is a very good test of golf, enjoy
